Vincent Lenti Piano Competition

Young pianists are invited to compete in the seventh annual Vincent Lenti Piano Competition sponsored by the Eastman Community Music School in March 2026.

A Registration Fee of $35 is due from all competitors in order to complete registration. This fee can be paid in person at the ECMS Office during business hours or by sending a check to the address listed in our Contact page.

Awards for Young Performers Division

First Prize: $100
Second Prize: $75
Third Prize: $50

Awards for Senior Division

First Prize: $150
Second Prize: $125
Third Prize: $75

Winners from all divisions will be announced at the final recital and will not be informed beforehand; therefore, all students must attend the final recital prepared to perform a piece.

There will be a special $250.00 Recital Prize, personally awarded by Vincent and Christina Lenti in recognition of an outstanding performance in the winners’ recital. All prize-winners in all age categories, including those receiving an “honorable mention,” will be eligible for consideration for this award.

Previous first prize winners cannot compete in the same age division of this competition that they have already won. Students must be of age for their desired division by the competition date listed above.

Divisions and Repertoire

Young Performers Division: Ages 9-11Two solo piano works of contrasting styles. Maximum Performance Time: 8 minutes.
Junior Division: Ages 12 – 15Two solo piano works of contrasting styles. Maximum Performance Time: 10 minutes.
Senior Division: Ages 16 – 18Two solo piano works of contrasting styles (may exceed performance time, but no less than 8 minutes). Maximum Performance Time: 12 minutes.
