Naomi Foley is a dedicated musician and educator who has chosen to focus her life on teaching children music and developing children\u2019s musicianship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Naomi earned her Bachelors of Music from the Eastman School of Music with highest distinction in Music Education with a double concentration in vocal and general music. She studied piano with Douglas Humphreys and worked closely with Donna Brink Fox while teaching in the Early Childhood Music Program at the Eastman Community Music School. Naomi also studied choral conducting with William Weinert. Her artistry from piano study, love of child musical development, and understanding of the voice and choral conducting allows her to bring the best out of all of her students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Naomi then went on to study at the University of Hartford\u2019s Hartt School of Music where she earned her Masters of Music Education in Kod\u00e1ly. She studied with John Feierabend and Jill Trinka, earning her Level III Kod\u00e1ly Certification. For her excellence in academic achievements, Naomi was nominated and inducted into the Phi Kappa Lambda Honor Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, Naomi teaches general music in the Victor School District. She also enjoys teaching music and making music with her own children. You will find her with her children at lessons and ensembles at the Eastman Community Music School and accompanying them on piano in studio classes and on recitals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Childhood is a crucial time to develop musicianship, creativity, and discipline in the arts, and she is very grateful to be able to share this beautiful opportunity with her family at ECMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
