Hyejin Suzie Lee is a hornist born in South Korea and raised in Ohio. She gained early recognition with her orchestral debut performing Shostakovich\u2019s Cello Concerto No. 1, reviewed by Cleveland Classical for her \u201cincredible depth of sound\u201d and a powerful obbligato solo that \u201cfilled every inch of the hall.\u201d<\/p>\n
An avid educator, Lee will serve as Instructor of Horn at SUNY Geneseo and as a Student Teacher of Horn at the Eastman Community Music School. Additionally, she spent two consecutive summers at the Kent Blossom Music Festival, performing with The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. She has also participated in the PRISMA Festival and the Vienna Summer Music Festival.<\/p>\n
Lee earned her bachelor\u2019s degree at the Peabody Institute, where she studied with Robert Rearden. She is currently pursuing a master\u2019s degree in Horn Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music and studies with Peter Kurau and Maura McCorvington.<\/p>\n
Outside of music, Suzie enjoys hip-hop dancing and spending time with her orange cat, Pumpkin.<\/p>\n\n\n
