The program covers almost 25 years of music, from Debussy\u2019s early orchestral suite <em>Printemps <\/em>(<em>Spring<\/em>) to a portion of the \u201cmystery\u201d <em>The Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian<\/em> for soloists, chorus, and orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>Festival Artistic Director Marie Rolf will introduce the repertoire in each half of the concert with lavish illustrations projected on a large screen, including vivid photos of dancers, sets, and costumes for the danced versions of <em>Printemps <\/em>and <em>Le Martye de saint S\u00e9bastien<\/em>, and rare materials regarding the <em>Marche \u00e9cossaise <\/em>(to be introduced by a bagpiper in kilt, performing the Scottish tune used by Debussy).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u201cHommage \u00e0 Rameau\u201d from Images, s\u00e9rie I [for solo piano]<br \/>\nexcerpt from Eastman Audio Archive call no. The New Eastman Symphony was a student-managed orchestra that flourished at the Eastman School in the years 1997-2000.
