Circulation Assistants\u2019 work involves responsibility for routine circulation, shelf maintenance, and clerical functions, using an automated circulation system.<\/p>\n

  1. Charging books in and out<\/li>\n
  2. Shelving library materials<\/li>\n
  3. Shelf-reading<\/li>\n
  4. Shelf shifting<\/li>\n

Other duties as assigned include reference stacks maintenance, catalog researching, computer work, etc.\u00a0 Typically the assistant is a graduate student who has taken MHS 480: Music Bibliography or the equivalent at another institution.<\/p>\n

    (a) Receive national and international requests for Sibley items; (b) Respond to Eastman requests for items not in Sibley. Written and spoken communication skills desired.<\/p>\n
